Before joining NTU, I held the position of Senior Designer at Intoware, a software and device consultancy based in Nottingham.

 

I was responsible for heading-up a team consisting of 2 junior designers who supported the company in a variety of disciplines.

 

My responsibilities at Intoware included:

 

Brand Management- Quality control and ensuring that a strong consistent brand identity is retained throughout all products. 

 

PR & marketing- Planning and producing campaigns and collateral to advertise company products. 

 

Art direction- Overseeing activity and processes on video production, animation, photo shoots, film shoots and voice-over recording sessions.

 

Software delivery- Working with Development teams in an Agile environment to produce multi-platform & responsive websites for marketing purposes.

 

Print- Preparing print-ready artwork, including: brochures, company stationery and exhibition stands. General liaison with both digital and offset printing and finishing houses.

 

User interface design- Providing creatives that turn technical specifications into user-friendly graphics for apps and wearable technology.  

 

Mobile & tablet- Producing elements and user-interface designs for games, and companion apps.

 

Team leadership & mentoring- Overseeing a small team of junior designers responsible for marketing, 3D rendering /animation and User Interface / Experience. Helping them build up Adobe software skill-sets and advising on good design and best studio practice.

 

Re-brand direction- Coordinated a full company re-brand from concept to completion, taking the company from Ikanos Consulting to Intoware.
